LBS Contest Exclusivity
If your band is chosen to be one of the 24 qualifying bands for the 2013
Last Band Standing, you must agree that Last Band Standing must be the
only multi-week competition in which your band will be entered in
Jackson County between application date and the earlier of:
1) being eliminated from the LBS competition, or
2) 9/11/13, without the written consent of Opus Broadcasting.
Band Check In
- All members must check in by 6pm Havana Republic/Grotto Patio.
- ID is Required for EVERY member
- No one under the age of 18 is ever allowed on stage
- No one under 21 will be allowed without prior
written authorization from Opus Broadcasting, Inc. Any performer ages
18-20 have to be cleared through OLCC and Legacy Entertainment BEFORE
Wednesday, and may only be either on the stage or in the alley. They may
not at any time come down from the stage into the public area of Havana
Republic/Grotto Patio.
Line-Up, Announcements & Set Time
- Weekly band line-up’s are determined by drawing straws immediately before the event starts.
- All sets are 20 Minutes. This time begins when
your sound check is completed. Please note that all talk time, etc. is
included in this 20 minutes once your sound check is complete.
- The Rogue DJ will announce ALL acts. This is not
optional! Bands that do not allow him to present between sets will be
dealt with. Please be respectful that we are trying to make Last Band
Standing the best it can be and that each of us have a crucial part in
that overall process and success.
Music & Sound
- All music must be original in lyric and instrumentation
- Sound Manager will be working with each band on sound and mixing!
IMPORTANT! It is mandatory that all bands work with Sound
Manager to maximize the best stage sound level possible. This includes
allowing the sound guys to do their job and adjusting band music to a
workable level for the best sound quality. Failure to do so will result
in disqualification.
Equipment
- All band members are required to bring their own instruments, including cymbals and amps.
- Drums will be provided by Guitar Center
Merchandising
- There is absolutely NO Merchandising of any kind
at Last Band Standing! This includes giving away merchandise or CDs.
This is not negotiable, any attempts to sell or display band merchandise
will not be tolerated. The idea here is that votes for your band come
only from your musicianship, your showmanship, your onstage performance
and your ability to mobilize your fan base. Please note that any
attempts to do so will cause your band to be disqualified.

Band Advancement
- Of the four bands competing each night, the two bands with the most votes each week advance
- All original 11 week bands are strictly advanced by wristband votes from that night’s audience only
- Finals Competition is based on both wristband votes and the assigned judge panel - all judge decisions are final!
A Note To The Band’s,
As a competition, each band is there as a competitor and is expected to
be ready to compete. Therefore this is not the same as your individual
band events, and does not require nor pay a fee to be involved. That
being said, we expect that each band and all of its members represent
themselves in both a professional and respectable manner at all times,
and adhere to the rules and regulations for Last Band Standing.
Thank you, and we wish you the best of luck!
